School holidays in France are organised according to three “holiday zones”, A, B and C,  in order to manage the flow of French holidaymakers.

Our region comes under zone C (Montpellier)

ZONE A

Besançon, Bordeaux, Clermont-Ferrand, Dijon, Grenoble, Limoges, Lyon, Poitiers.

1st September 2020 – Rentrée (return to school)
17th October – 2nd November 2020 – Toussaint (Autumn half term)
19th December 2020 to 4th January 2021 – Christmas holidays
6th – 22nd February  2021– February half term term
10th to 26th April 2021 – Easter holiday
12th – 17th May 2021 – ASCENSION
6th July 2021 – Start of summer holiday

ZONE B

Aix-Marseille, Amiens, Caen, Lille, Nancy-Metz, Nantes, Nice, Orléans-Tours, Reims, Rennes, Rouen, Strasbourg

20th February to 8th March 2021 – February half term term

Créteil, Montpellier, Paris, Toulouse, Versailles.
