JAZZEBRE June Preview

The not-to-be-missed grand finale of Jazzebre’s first Spring season will be the festive “Bambocheur” evening picnic at the magnificent Salses Fortress, with its remarkable views and unique atmosphere.
As ever, La Joyeuse Fanfare du Festival kicks off the evening at 19.00h, followed by the Le Grand Silence brass band – which promises to be quite the opposite of its name!
Modern and cheerful, Le Grand Silence pays homage to maestro Ennio Morricone, offers a smidgeon of classicism and reveals an undeniable cinephilia. With a rich knowledge of 19th century American culture, including popular songs for weddings and baptisms, the band also explores the restorative jazz of New Orleans funeral parades. HERE’S A TASTER
