Summer’s coming!
The Chorale Internationale d’Albera has started to rehearse for our Summer Season.
Our theme is “On Danse” and we’re very excited about our new repertoire of French and English songs, all from different musical eras.
Our programme is varied, with songs of different tempos and dance styles – swing, rhythm & blues, Latin, waltz, ballroom and disco.

About the choir
The Chorale Internationale d’Albera is a diverse and inclusive choir using music to bridge cultures and languages.
The choir began as a group of English friends who loved to sing. Since 2017, it is a registered association with over 50 members from a wide range of countries, including France, Norway, Sweden, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, Belgium…
Musical director, Björn, is a professional musician and under his guidance, the choir has become an accomplished group who sing with enthusiasm, joy and love.
The choir sing in both English and French, across many different genres that include jazz, pop, Motown and gospel as well as traditional Christian songs at Christmas.
Don’t worry if you’re not fluent in one of the languages – singing is a fantastic way to learn. Rehearsals are in English so a bit of knowledge is helpful, but there are ‘mentors’ to support anyone who needs a bit of help along the way.
Whether you’re looking to brush up your French, your English, or just because you love singing, you’ve found the perfect place. The choir isn’t just about hitting the right notes; it’s about blending voices and hearts to create something truly magical.
We’re all about having fun, making friends, and sharing our love for music and we welcome everyone who wants to join the choir, no matter the singing experience.
So, let your hair down, warm up those vocal cords, and get ready to celebrate the joy of language and song!

Did you know?
You can book the Chorale Internationale d’Albera for festivals, street entertainment, parks, gardens, night markets etc.
They perform for between 30 – 60 minutes and bring all the necessary equipment and lighting with them.
They can even display lyrics and images if you have a projector and screen available.

This is an amazing choir. A vey varied repertoire – something to suit all tastes. At the moment we are rehearsing our Christmas songs – English and French . Come along and see us perform in December and find out what all the fuss is about. You won’t be disappointed!
It is an absolute joy to be part of this choir. Bjorn is a fantastic teacher and while we take our singing seriously, we have great fun! Everyone is welcome , and our concerts bring much joy to all those who attend.

My wife and I joined the choir in 2023 after attending their 2022 Christmas concert.
We love it – such a relaxed and friendly atmosphere (although Björn makes us toe the line Chen we need to 😉)
We’ve been rehearsing since March for our Summer Concert.
Quite a challenging repertoire but that’s what makes it so rewarding. We’ve come a long way since we started all those years ago.
