Christmas in le Barcarès
Although Covid restrictions mean the Village de Noël has been postponed until next year, there’s still plenty of Christmas cheer to be found in the coastal town of le Barcarès.
J’illumine ma ville
Mayor Alain Ferrand is encouraging residents to use their own homes to turn the whole of the town into a Christmas village. Energy-efficient LED garlands are available free of charge from the Mairie and many residents have gone the extra mile too.
A video link will soon be available but, in our opinion, these things are always best seen live. So wrap up warm, grab your mask and your attestation and take a stroll through the winter wonderland.
Christmas market
You’re hearing it here first! Within the framework of current sanitary rules and regulations, the town is setting up a Christmas Market on the Place de la République. There are beautiful illuminations, fir trees, and wooden chalets offering local products, crafts and gift ideas.
