Charity Clean Up Event along the River Têt

As part of a global anti-plastic initiative, World Clean Up Day, you can join the Lion’s Club Saint Cyprien Doyen, to clean up the banks of one of our region’s two iconic waterway: the River Têt.

Across the world, millions of volunteers will participate in events in 180 countries in a massive, global effort to clean up the planet.

Harnessing the combined efforts of volunteers from clubs, groups and associations from across the P-O, this will be a truly international, inter-generational affair!

Not part of a club? Don’t let that put you off! All you need is enthusiasm, sun cream and a bottle of water to get involved. Contact your local Mairie or Office de Tourisme to find out what’s happening near you.

As well as the general litter picking, there will also be a series of conferences workshops aimed at raising awareness of the unique issues facing the river, and by extension, our region.

Bring your gardening gloves and your mask and join the Bien dans notre Têt team from 9am to 12pm, then from 2pm to 5pm.
