School holidays in France are organised according to three “holiday zones”, A, B and C,  in order to manage the flow of French holidaymakers.

Our region comes under zone C (Montpellier)

ZONE A

Besançon, Bordeaux, Clermont-Ferrand, Dijon, Grenoble, Limoges, Lyon, Poitiers.

1st September – Rentrée (return to school after summer hols)
18th October – 3rd November – Toussant. Half term
20th December – 5th January 2025 – Christmas hols
7th  – 23rd February 2025– February half term term
4th – 20th  April  2025 – Easter holiday
6th July 2025 – Start of summer holiday

ZONE B

Aix-Marseille, Amiens, Caen, Lille, Nancy-Metz, Nantes, Nice, Orléans-Tours, Reims, Rennes, Rouen, Strasbourg

1st September – Rentrée (return to school after summer hols)
18th October – 3rd November – Toussant. Half term
20th December – 5th January 2025- Christmas hols
14th February – 2nd March  2025– February half term term
11th – 27 th  April  2025 – Easter holiday
6th July 2025 – Start of summer holiday

ZONE C

Créteil, Montpellier, Paris, Toulouse, Versailles.

1st September – Rentrée (return to school after summer hols)
18th October – 3rd November – Toussant. Half term
20th December – 5th January 2025 – Christmas hols
21st February – 9th March 2025 – February half term term
18th April  – 3rd May 2025 – Easter holiday
4th July 2025 – Start of summer holiday
