The P-O Life Christmas Get-together
After much discussion, umm-ing and ahhh-ing and several gin and tonics, we have chosen something a little bit different for the Christmas get-together this year.
The Cap d’Ona brewery near Céret has plenty of easy parking, it’s on a regular (regular for the P-O that is) bus route, and this bar/shop/brewery offers tasting sessions, local Catalan charcuterie and cheese platters, and a very pleasant beer garden if the sun gets his hat on.
They propose a free tour of the brewery, a wander round the shop for some great local beers and alcohols, (fab local gift ideas as Christmas approaches), then a sociable sit-about (or stand-about) with drink and tapas if you fancy.
Nothing organised price wise. You order your beer, wine, spirits, tapas as you would in any bar, this is just for the pleasure of getting together, putting faces to names you may have come across on P-O Life Facebook, the website, the newsletter, the Mag…
Soooooooooooo……we suggest we meet there from 4 30pm onwards.… for a brewery tour, a drink, a bit of tapas, a chat, a giggle, a gossip……or just pop by and say hello! We’d love to see you.
All nationalities welcome and the more the merrier…..
Just behind is the Chinese theme park at Chateau d’Aubiry if you want to make an evening of it, or plenty of restaurants in Céret for those who wish to go out for dinner afterwards.
EVERYBODY IS WELCOME.
Vous n’avez pas besoin d’être anglophone, juste anglophile! Venez nous rejoindre! 🙂
We do hope you can make it.
Please drop us an email at info@angophone-direct.com so we can give them an idea of numbers…or head for our Facebook group where there is a yes/no invitation and click on YES.
HOW TO GET THERE
They don’t stock wine & very limited tapas 🤔
Coughs and sneezes spread …well you know what Can’t make today but if next week still on the cards we will see you there xxx 😙🤶🎄🎄
Sounds great to me!
How about the Foyer in Maureillas las Illas? Loads of space, Loos,, kitchen, etc. Or El Tap in Maureillas village square?
Thanks for the suggestions Kathy. I think Maureillas would probably be quite difficult to access for a lot of people. Really need somewhere more central.
