Shops in Perpignan are allowed to open for Christmas shoppers every Sunday from 30th November ot 28th December.
There will also be free parking in Wilson, Arago, Saint-Martin and Catalogne covered carparks in the city centre.
The Christmas markets in Perpignan (places Gambetta, République and Victoire) will also be open daily until 24th December.
Most large supermarkets will be open on those dates.
On those days, there will be street entertainment (stilt walkers, fairies handing out sweets, giant teddies….)
All the big supermarkets (Carrefour, Auchan, Intermarché, Champion etc) will be closed on Christmas day and New Year’s Day but open as usual at all other times.)
During the weekends approaching Christmas, many shops will open later as well as Sundays. Smaller shops will be open at the discretion of the owner but closed on Christmas day and New Year’s Day, apart from bakeries and local corner shops which may well open in the morning.
