This moving and searingly honest account of an owner learning how to handle her rescue dog will stay with you long after you finish it. Very soon it becomes about a developing, deep connection between the two and how the lovely Zoe conveys her extraordinary wisdom. She takes Anya on a spiritual journey towards a deeper understanding of love, and we the readers, are the richer for sharing such a journey. The poetry of their exchanges is beautiful to read and will cause much pause for reflection. I loved it.

Anya Gore has written a beautiful and inspirational book about her journey of discovery and growth with her dog Zoe. As an animal communicator, she shares Zoe’s voice and insights as well as her own reflections on their journey together. And she does not shy away from the tough spots, the places where she felt she could have done things differently, but leads us through her own path of discovery. Beautifully written and easy to read, I highly recommend this book to anyone who shares their life with a dog, or just wants to gain a deeper understanding of the bond between two separate beings, who are willing to hear each other, to learn and grow from and with each other.
