Bangers all round for the sausage world champs!

For the second year running, the prestigious championnat du monde de la saucisse catalane will draw internationally-renowned sausage makers to the P-O… and competition is fierce!

Last year’s event brought over 1500 sausage-lovers to Parc Clairfont in Toulouges, to marvel at the creations served up by 33 competitors and 8 finalists to 10 expert judges as well as 200 lucky tasters. A whopping 500kg of Catalan sausage were savoured and sampled over 2 glorious days.

And this year’s event promises to be a sizzling success too!

Kick-start the fun on Saturday with the 5pm Sausage Party followed by a live concert. Then, on Sunday, things get serious, with the famous grand final, all topped off with traditional Catalan entertainment with bandas, Sardanes and, yup, sausages!
