Hello Everyone
Vide Grenier – St Cyprien Port – Sunday 28 May
There were fewer people this year at the Vide Grenier. We had a good pitch, our table was next to La Ligue. The Vide was postponed from the week before because of rain and on this day it was quite cold. This, and the fact that it had been postponed, meant that there were fewer people than usual, with not as many stands. A lot of people packed up early but we had quite a lot of interest, with our CSF flyers prominent and our CSF banner flying high. We made a healthy €100 plus a lot of new friends.
Call for tombola and raffle prizes
We would be very grateful indeed for anything you might have which you think worthy of a Tombola or Raffle prize. Bottles of wine or spirits, unopened presents, anything in good condition really: paintings, ornaments, china or glass, scarves, handkerchiefs, fancy bedlinen.
If you would like to bring them along to any of our Drop Ins or events, we’d be very grateful to have them for our Walk for Life in September and our Autumn Ball in October. Or you can email me and I’ll arrange collection.
Thank you.
English greeting cards
Come along to any of our events or Drop Ins and you’ll see that we are selling really good quality English cards. We have single cards for lots of different occasions and boxes of beautifully designed note cards.
These have been donated by our friend Shirley Morton who some of you may know.
The prices range from 2€ to 5€ and, of course, we are always happy to accept a donation.
Drop Ins
Wednesday 5 July, Pablo’s Bar, Céret, 10.30
Monday 17 July, Café des Artistes, Laroque des Albères, 10.15

Looking ahead
Thursday 7th September, Walk for Life, Maureillas
Our Walk for Life will be at Prat De La Farga again this year.
This is always a very well-supported event with two walks to choose from – an easy one and a not so easy one. The only information we have so far is that the long walk will be 9kms.
It’s a fun day for all ages! There will be a game of pétanque, various stalls, a Tombola and music.
We walk in the morning and then enjoy a picnic lunch together. More details to come but please make a note of the date!
Saturday 7th October, Autumn Ball, Bages, 7pm – Midnight

Please remember that if anyone is struggling or needing help, the CSF telephone and email helplines are always open. We are there for everyone needing assistance at this time as well as for those affected by cancer. There is also lots of information on our website. |
