International Forest Day celebrations in Argelès

Following the events in Sorède (2013) and Céret (2015), this year, the association, Initiation à la Forêt, are organising a weekend of activities and entertainment in Argelès-sur-Mer.

Opening on Friday 17th at the Cinéma Jaures, the film screening of O Pays des Forêts Catalanes celebrates the rich beauty and diversity of our forests. Followed by a debate of the themes raised, audiences will have the opportunity to discuss our relationship with (and reliance on!) forest ecosystems. 2.50€

From 10am to 8pm on Saturday 18th, take part in the numerous activities on offer across the town. Salle du 14 juillet, Foyer communal, Médiathèque Jean Ferrat, Musée Casa del’Albera and Place des Castellans will be hosting discussions, exhibitions and interactive workshops on all aspects of forests and forestry.
