We asked Rob Morley to totally re-furbish our main bathroom. The job involved taking the room back to a bare shell, fitting a new ceiling, wall tiling, floor tiling, plumbing, electrics and fitting a complete suite of bathroom furniture.

Kitchen Renovation 2022
Well done to Rob Morley and Joe Parker on the completion of our new kitchen in Le Barcares.
As with the previous renovation job Rob did with our shower and toilet rooms late last year, we were very happy with the end result. Rob’s attention to detail and efficient manner made it easy for us to have the job completed from Ireland without any issues.
Rob worked hand-in-hand with Joe Parker of Plateaux-Acryliques. Joe is a very competent young man, very willing, polite and able to perform the task of ordering, assembling and installing the kitchen complete with a Corian worktop he fashioned in his workshop. He also constructed a long wide step for us to allow safe access to our loggia.
They work very well as a team, older and more experienced along with younger and enthusiastic.
We would not hesitate to recommend both Artisans. Well done Guys, it was a pleasure working on this project with you both.

Once again Robert came to our help and installed a new electric board for us. As we were only at our address for a few weeks last year, he kindly agreed to do the work later. We were very pleased with the result and would recommend him for this and other work. He has done other work for us over the years and we have always been very satisfied. He is also a nice guy.
I would thoroughly recommend Rob Morley . We employed him to completely renovate the bathroom, kitchen and redo all the tiled floors throughout our 2nd floor apartment. Rob was initially recommended to us by Joe Parker as the plumber to go to. Initially Rob came to do the plumbing and electrics for our new kitchen and ended up installing a water softener, fitting a new consumer unit (fuse board) and fixing a non- functioning electric roller blind. Like Joe, he is punctual, pleasant, extremely thorough and particular in his work . He works tidily and cleanly. He kept us up to date giving us timely warnings as to when the electricity or water was going to be turned off. He and Joe liaised well together. The fact that both of them are originally Northeners (as we are) has nothing to do with our giving an excellent review.
As Rob Morley did such a great job back in 2016 renovating our ‘70’s bathroom, he was our 1st port of call to now tackle the renovation of our kitchen, also unchanged from the 70’s. Although the kitchen is not large, it is awkwardly sized, so on Rob’s suggestion we used Joe Parker of Sarl Plateaux Acryliques to design, supply and fit the kitchen units, worktops and sinks.
We therefore had Rob to carry out all the retiling of the floor and walls, all the plumbing and electrical installations, which included providing new electrical points and wiring in an extractor unit over the cooker.
Rob did an excellent job and we are so pleased with the results. We certainly have no hesitation in recommending him to others.
We would highly recommend Morley Renovations who have just completed a bath/shower room renovation for us. Very clean, tidy work and just exactly the finish we had in mind. It was not the most straight forward of projects (neither were our walls) but Rob saw solutions not problems.
We would like to say a huge thank you to Rob for all the work he has carried out for us recently. At the end of last year we started a big project to move our old kitchen from the back of the house into the main salon. Once the kitchen move was complete, we were left with the empty kitchen to be converted into two shower rooms – one accessed from the main corridor, and the second through a newly made opening from our second bedroom, thus creating a guest en-suite. Rob carried out all the bathroom work for us, erecting a new wall to divide the old kitchen, preparing the very rough old kitchen walls and floor and fully fitting both.
As everyone will know there are many obstacles to overcome in creating new rooms with pipe work, electrics and both floor and wall tiles of various sorts. Rob found easy solutions for all the problems and made a fantastic job of both rooms. Most of the work was carried out while we were in situ, however the final weeks were done while we were in the uk and we were delighted to return this week to two beautiful new shower rooms and a lovely clean and tidy home.
As is often the case with these projects, there were a few ‘while you’re here Rob…’ moments, including tiling the walls of our new kitchen, and turning the old cloakroom into a utility cupboard with sink and shelves. Again these were done perfectly, and we can’t thank Rob enough for his expertise and care. We would most certainly recommend his work to anyone else looking for both electrical and plumbing work.

I moved down to the PO in November 2020, buying a house built in 1975 with a pretty much original interior. This included an absolutely revolting green and orange bathroom with a bidet & cast iron tub. Clearly this had to go and so I started a search for a competent artisan in the area. Rob was recommended to me by various people I met, so I asked him to come round and quote.
He was professional and polite on his first visit, and showed me photos of his previous work. The photographs were impressive, so we agreed upon a fair price.
Rob did a great job, his attention to detail and the accuracy of his work is superb. He also put up with me being around & asking lots of questions related to the bathroom as well as questions related to some DIY work I was doing at the same time. He helped me out, advised me and even lent me his tools at times.
The final result is better than I cold have hoped for at the start of the project. He finished on time and on budget, agreed to some extra jobs that I asked for help with along the way and was at all times professional and polite.

The open plan en-suite in the master bedroom needed updating and to be made more accessible for my father. Rob recommended and collected products and installed perfectly whilst resolving the usual issues encountered when demoing previous work. Rob found solutions easily and paid attention to detail when it came to the accessibility of the shower for my father who cannot walk so well.

We highly recommend Robert Morley for the quality of his work, professionalism, reliability and communication. We will certainly use him again in the future. We needed Robert for the renovation of our outdated bathroom. The last renovation had been done over 27 years ago. Robert provided excellent advice regarding what was needed and where to get the equipment. He took care of the plumbing, the electricity, the tile work and the suspended ceiling. He kept us abreast daily through emails and whatsapp with pictures of the work being done. It was a great experience working with him from start to finish.

Rob has recently completed a renovation at our home in Arles-sur-Tech. This entailed gutting and completely revamping two bathrooms and a guest loo. From our initial contact, on the recommendation of friends, Rob was at all times extremely helpful. He came with us to suppliers and his input was invaluable as well as his much superior command of French ! His advise on material selection and best quality products to use was really helpful and ensured we were very happy with the finished result.
Once the work started we were so impressed with Rob’s attention to detail, his finishes are wonderful and all was done to the schedule we discussed. His company was also much enjoyed and his great knowledge of the area.
We have no hesitation in recommending Rob for any home renovations , his workmanship is second to none.

Rob has done a number of jobs for us over quite a few years. The first and largest was removal of the 1960s oil-fired central heating from our maison secondaire and its replacement with reversible aircon in the three most-used rooms, with electric heating for the remainder of the house, carried out in the winter of 2012-13. At the same time he replaced the original breaker board with a modern one that includes RCDs for all circuits both old and new; added some new sockets in the kitchen, and renovated others that, in the French way, were coming out of the wall; and sorted out a couple of plumbing problems. I was very impressed from the start with his willingness to discuss options; he advised us on what to buy in the way of electric radiators; his estimate was very clear, comprehensive, and reasonably priced; and he found a suitable contractor to install the aircon. When the time came to do the work, he firstly removed the ghastly old radiators, a lot of steel (!!) pipework, and the extremely heavy oil-fired boiler, and patched the plaster where the radiators had hung. He then installed the new wiring and electric radiators – and also tidied up some of the trunking left by the aircon contractor, which did not meet Rob’s very high standards of neatness. And he left everywhere really clean and tidy. All in all, we are still really pleased with the outcome.
Over the years since then, Rob has dealt with various smaller plumbing problems – replacement of the hot water cylinder, fixing a continuously running loo, and on another occasion a leaking loo waste connection, fixing a leaking connection to a shower mixer, finding an outdoor leak… He’s a great person to work with – I can email the nature of the problem with a couple of photos, post him a bunch of keys if I am in Scotland rather than France, and a week or so later he emails back to say that everything has been sorted. The only problem with this way of working is that I don’t get to actually chat with Rob very often, such chats being one of the “fringe benefits” of working with him – and not only because he knows so much about what is going on locally and in the wider PO!
All in all, I can recommend Rob without reservation.
Rob has just finished doing the tiling, plumbing and electrics for us as part of fitting a new kitchen. He worked alongside with Joe of SARL Plateau Acrylique who built and installed all the units and worktops.
Rob has done several jobs for us over the last couple of years covering all.aspects of plumbing and electrics, including repacing an old water heater, replacing WCs and taps and installing new circuits to our pool house.

Having sought advice from several reputable people it became instantly clear that Rob was the man to deal with. Recently Rob completed the renovation of our Apartment in Perpignan. This was completely reformed with suspended ceilings , lighting, new bathroom and kitchen, and a complete electrical revamp. We are delighted with the results which has transformed an old 70’s apartment into a stylish and modern dwelling .

We found Rob via PO Life’s website after purchasing a holiday apartment in Perpignan in June 2018. Rob has a very approachable and knowledgable manner and is not only very professional in his dealings and workmanship, but also a great source to “ bounce ideas off” from his unique status of being both a qualified plumber and electrician.
We commenced working with Rob on a series of smaller jobs, such as running additional electric sockets for kitchen appliances, fitting our new cooker and ceiling fans.
