SUNDAY 19TH JULY 2026 – International Sheepdog Trials, Osseja
Traditionally held on the penultimate Sunday in July, the International Sheepdog Trials in Osséja are one of the highlights of the summer in Cerdagne and a wonderful day out, particularly for animal lovers.
Dating back to 1948, the competition celebrates the remarkable partnership between shepherds and their dogs, demonstrating the skill, patience and teamwork needed to manage a flock.

The festivities get underway from 10am.

Osséja itself is a charming working village renowned for its healthy mountain climate and fresh air. It is also one of the stops on the famous Little Yellow TrainLittle Yellow Train (Le Petit Train Jaune), making it an ideal family day out if you’re looking to escape the summer heat on the coast.
