A series of creative writing workshops will take place in Prades this March as part of a week-long writing retreat, led by multi-book author and former international journalist Sean Hillen.

All workshops are held in English and are open to anyone with an interest in writing, whether you’re just starting out or looking to develop your skills further.

Set in the peaceful surroundings of the boutique château Villa Lafabregue, just a short walk from the centre of Prades, the workshops run over five days from 23rd to 29th March 2026.

What’s on offer

Workshops last between 2 and 3 hours (with a short break) and cover a range of topics, including:

• The do’s and don’ts of writing fiction and creative non-fiction

• Story and plot development

• Structuring your book, whether novel, memoir or novella

• Developing characters and dialogue

Participants can choose individual workshops or take part in the full retreat programme.

Prices

• €150 per workshop

• €200 for two workshops

There is also the option to attend the full week-long retreat, which includes accommodation, breakfast, cultural outings in the region, and additional activities.

The setting

The retreat takes place at Villa Lafabregue, a boutique château with gardens, located just five minutes from the main square in Prades. On-site parking is available.
