The ‘Ballets Russes’ never actually performed in Russia despite their name! In fact, they were an itinerant ballet company who toured Europe and America between 1909 and 1929 and were created by Sergei Diaghilev.
The company is well known for its ground-breaking artistic collaborations among young choreographers, artists, composers, designers, and dancers, including Stravinsky, Debussy, Léon Bakst, Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse, and Coco Chanel.
Presented in 2009, one hundred years after the first season of the Ballets Russes, these famous works, in their original choreography, are an audacious artistic adventure.
Join them on screen in Argelès.
