Giant Easter Egg Hunt – How It Works

Get ready for the big Easter egg hunt, open to children of all ages and designed to be both fun and engaging.

Children are divided into three age groups, each with its own level of challenge:

  • “Chicks” (ages 3–5): eggs are placed on the ground around the boat area, making them easy to find.

  • “Hens” (ages 6–9): eggs are hidden at mid-height, behind objects and within the boat, requiring a bit more searching.

  • “Roosters” (ages 10+): more complex hiding spots, encouraging children to think, explore and search more carefully.

Each child receives a “Hunting Licence”, which includes a checklist such as finding specific coloured eggs (for example: one red, one blue and one yellow). Once the list is completed, the hunt is finished.

To keep things organised and enjoyable, staggered start times are in place. Children set off in small groups of five every three minutes to avoid overcrowding.

Once the hunt is complete, children can exchange their completed licence at the “Easter Bank” in return for a chocolate reward.
