With the mercury remaining at a record high, autumn seems to have forgotten about us here in the PO. Argelès Port is continuing the summer celebrations with a weekend of fun and festivities.

Local musician, Aimé Alberty, and his band will open the weekend with a grand bal on Friday night. From 9pm they will bring La Place du Nouveau Monde alive with music and dancing for the whole family. The night will be rounded off with a fireworks display over the Port des Pêcheurs.

Sunday has a distinctly Catalan flavour. On the menu at Place Magellan at 5pm: the Duo Argelès-Collioure Association and le Foment de la Sardane will perfrom a traditional, folkloric ballet.

During the whole weekend, children will be given the run of a veritable village of inflatable structures. Castles, palm trees and various other bouncy environments will be provided by local business, Maxiglisse.

So come one, come all and take part in the Weekend du Port!
