Past events
On 28 January we held the CSF – Sud de France Annual General Meeting In Carcassonne. Over 50 members from across the Sud region heard updates and information concerning the past year from our President, Jane Beck, Treasurer Sue Ackloo and Training Lead Rob Houghton.
We had all had the opportunity to read reports from the Departmental Representatives. As CSF -Sud de France is a widespread region geographically, that includes the Arièrge, Aude (Sud & Ouest), Tarn with Tarn et Garonne – and, of course, our own Pyrénées-Orientales.
Before we settled down to an convivial lunch, we were entertained by a lively talk from Rachel Thomas-Bonnet, the go-to fixer regarding life in France for expats, from buying property and navigating the endless paperwork. Many of us were pleased to buy her book ‘Escape the Crazy’ (www.perfidealbion.com), with the sales receipts on the day being donated to CSF.
Please remember that if anyone is struggling or needing help, the CSF telephone (0800 240 200) and email helplines are always open. We are there for everyone needing assistance at this time, as well as those affected by cancer. There is also a lot of information on our website : https:// cancersupportfrance.org |
