The festa major is a week of Catalan summer celebrations complete with sardanes, music, dancing, beach games for kids, funfair, BBQs and more…

MONDAY 17TH
Evening of the trabucaïres “Als contrabandistes de Banyuls de la Marenda”.
7pm: Arrival of the smugglers, with their booty, in a traditional Catalan barque.
8pm : Big sardinade (sardines and tomato bread) on the central beach.
THURSDAY 20TH
Catalan folklore in place Paul Reig
9.30pm: Concert by La Joventut and El Foment de la sardana
FRIDAY 21ST
Beach party
4.30pm: treasure hunt for children.
6pm: Carrioles (snail) run followed by casament tremblant.
7pm: Catalan grill, mussels and chips and bar.
9.30pm: Musical entertainment (crazy disco ball) with the “Tonton givrés”
SATURDAY 22ND
Sardanes
11am : Sardanes by El Foment de la sardana.
4.30 pm : beach games for children.
5pm : Sardanes by El Foment de la sardana.
6pm – 8pm : Espadrille throwing competition
7pm: Catalan grill, mussels and chips and bar.
9.30pm: Musical entertainment with the Feeling orchestra (variety shows)

SUNDAY 23RD
9am : Mass
10.30am : parade and wreath laying followed by vin d’honneur
11.am: Sardanas by El Foment de la sardana with the cobla Sol de Banyuls
5pm : Sardanas by El Foment de la sardana with the cobla Sol de Banyuls
9.30pm : Musical animation Festi’rock
