Laroque-des-Albères is proud to host the 2nd edition of the international festival of comic strips and manga, LAROQU’EN BULLES.
Whether curious amateur or experienced professional, this is a festival bubbling with cultural openness and community exchanges.
Take part in exhibitions, conferences, activities and creative workshops. Meet unforgettable artists of international renown as well as budding young authors and illustrators.
After the successful debut event in 2018, the festival is back for a second edition and this year’s theme sees women take centre stage.
Long restricted to a role of meek submission, or simply an object, women have had to fight to earn their place in the comic strip universe.
This year’s festival will celebrate female characters, authors and illustrators who have each contributed in their own way to improving the lot of women in the 2D art form.
