Festival International de Musique en Catalonia

Since 1996, each September, Céret hosts an annual 3 day festival of world-class live music. Celebrating the rich heritage of Catalonia, renowned musicians come from across the world to perform a wide repertoire of traditional and contemporary music.

This year, this line up is bursting with talent and with tickets just 10€ (Wednesday’s concert is totally free!), it’s an excellent opportunity to enjoy something a little different.

Wednesday 5th September, 6pm, FREE
Local operatic stars, Canticel, join forces with the Polish composer, Johanna Bruzdowicz, for a performance based on poems by Jean Soler (born in Arles sur Tech) and Gustav Mahler.

Thursday 6th September, 7pm, 10€
Flute and piano duet perform classical pieces from Delibes, Chaminade, Lutoslawski, Vivaldi etc.

Friday 7th September, 5pm, 10€
“Her Story” – a violin and dance performance based on female composers from the 16th century to modern day.

Friday 7th September, 7pm, 10€
Funk and soul performance from Perpignan’s Funk Ensemble.
