PARTY IN PERPIGNAN

WHAT A YEAR THIS HAS BEEN – SO WE DECIDED THAT IT’S TIME WE ALL CAME OUT

It’s always nice to get together and put faces to names you may have come across on P-O Life Facebook, the website, the newsletter, the Mag…

The 2018 Christmas gathering was brilliant. Everybody agreed that it was fun, relaxed, a great afternoon out, a good mix of personalities and nationalities….so we did it again in 2019 and it was even better!

Perpignan party

Then 2020 came along  and the Dreaded Lurgy put an end to our shenanigans – so we’ve moved Christmas forward to June. Ready to party (carefully) in Perpignan?

And here we go again!

Would you like to join us? We’d love to see you. All nationalities welcome and the more the merrier.

Vous n’avez pas besoin d’être anglophone, juste anglophile!

Please send an email to info@anglophone-direct.com so we have some idea of numbers, watch this space for more precise details nearer the time. Et Robert est ton oncle!

DATE: SATURDAY 26th JUNE  FROM MIDDAY
VENUE: L’HORLOGE,  2 RUE FONTAINE FROIDE, PERPIGNAN CENTRE (in front of cathedral)

Drop in for a drink, a bit of lunch, a chat, a giggle, a gossip……or just pop by and say hello!

SEE PERPIGNAN
The is weather dependent of course, but don’t forget that you’ll need to add on a bit of extra time out to wander around  this historic centre, do a bit of shopping, soak up the sights and sounds of sultry southern summer in France.

  1. More to come lovely Helen. Really good to see you again.

  2. This was a super “coming out” party. Thank you very much to the organises .
It was wonderful to meet new P.O.people & see some old friends.
Having spent a difficult year, I wrote & told my folkes in UK how warm and friendly the P.O.Lifers were.
More of thèse knees-up would be so welcome, particularly for newly-alone people like me.
    Again, thank you.

  3. We thoroughly enjoyed this outing. Our only regret is not meeting more of the other attendees. We’d suggest making this a regular, monthly event held in different towns and villages around the P-O!

  4. We would love to join you all but we’re staying in the UK until the worst of this pandemic is over, that and Brexit makes PO /UK life much more complicated!

  5. Hi All, My name is Peter Barretto. My wife Rochelle Mathias , and two sons Jacob (19), and Lucas(15) will be moving from Toronto, Ontario, Canada to our new home in Canet-en-Roussillon end of August. Looking forward to life in the South of France and meeting many of you over time. Enjoy your June Christmas party next Saturday.

  6. Thanks for the invite, Sadly I no longer live in Port Vendres so won’t be able to come.

  7. My wife Sue and I will be joining you on Saturday. Hopefully to meet some old friends and make some new ones
    David

  8. Hope to join you, is there a car park nearby?

    1. Hi Lorraine, your best bet is the underground car parks on boulevard Wilson, or Pl Republique. Max five minutes walk to Pl Gambetta.

      Hope to see you there!

  9. Digging out my best bib & tucker. & looking forward to meeting folk again after an annus horribilis.
You’ll know me ‘cos I’ll be the oldest person there. (or at least I’ll look it)

    Helen

  10. Sadly we can’t be there as we are stuck in England but have a great time and thanks for keeping us in touch with the PO during the past months.
    Barbara and Pete

  11. Hello Malcolm & Yannick and welcome to P-O out of lockdown! It’s an outdoor bar/restaurant that we are going to so no need to bring anything but yourselves. Look forward to meeting you. 🙂

  12. We, my wife and I, would like to join you on 26th in Perpignan, somewhere!
Should we bring a bottle and some “nibbles” or is all available and for sale on site?
Look forward to meeting some locals, we moved to Brouilla in August but thanks to the lockdowns have only met our neighbours so far so feeling a bit “stir crazy”.

  13. Commented on the FB page that I would prefer July 14th, so don’t know if you need it again

    1. Thanks Elaine. That should be fine. I suspect the majority have gone for 26th, feeling it might get a bit too crowded on 14th. We’ll give it to the end of the month before making any decisions.x
