Céret town council has recently appointed a private firm to run parking patrols, and locals who live and work in town and rarely move their cars were unpleasantly surprised to find that they’d disappeared. Their first reaction was to report them stolen to the police, only afterwards realising that they’d been towed as they’d been parked in the same spot for over a week.

In the latest P-O Life magazine there is a lovely piece about our President, Penny Parkinson. A couple of paragraphs and we think we’ve got the gist of who she is and what she does but, as we know, there is more – much more in fact because she is now President of CSF (National). She was nominated and delighted to accept the role at their AGM last month. Congratulations Penny – this is great news!

I go out walking with a group of friends most weekends. A lot of the time we are up in the mountains with a picnic when lunch comes around, but we’ve had a series of landmark birthdays in the group (everything one ending in 0 from 40 to 70) which has led us to investigate walks with restaurants on route and I thought that I’d share them with you.
