A spate of petty burglaries over the last few weeks in the Albères has hopefully ended in the arrest of the thieves.
The thieves appear to have targeted mainly holiday homes, but this doesn’t mean that permanent residents havent been visited as well.
Doors have been kicked in, shutters forced. These have been ‘in and out’ jobs, with thieves getting away with what they could easily carry to the car.
A common factor has been a small, dark blue small car (Fiesta type?) seen ‘casing’ the area first, and several burglaries have been carried out in broad daylight whilst the owners have been out shopping or enjoying a day at the beach!
