ECMA concerts - Festival Pablo CasalsThe Académie européenne de musique de chambre  (European Chamber Music Academy – ECMA ) is a European foundation which promotes the great quartets and trios of the future. It aims to promote chamber music by helping young classical musicians to develop their talent as a soloist. ECMA is considered one of the key stages for young soloists in Europe, especially for string quartets. It is recognized as one of the first institutions by the chamber music world.
 
The Pablo Casals Festival in Prades has been chosen to host in November one of seven European sessions. Quartets and trios selected by audition will likely be amounts the next generation of great soloists, with high standard of teaching from some of the great classical musicians.

From November 12 to 16 2013 , four string quartets ( Quatuor Zaide , Pacific Quartet Vienna , Quartetto Guadagnini , the Ligeti Quartet) a string trio ( the Darian Trio) and Piano Trio ( Ensemble Alba ) will follow Prades courses Hatto Beyerle , Artistic Director of the Accademia Europea del Quartetto ( Fiesole ), the ECMA , the Europäische Kulturforum Grossraming (Austria), founder of the Alban Berg Quartet and Ferenc Rados , Hungarian pianist and piano teacher and chamber music.

From November 12 to 16 , four string quartets ( le Quatuor Zaïde, le Pacific Vienna Quartet, le Quartetto Guadagnini, le Ligeti Quartet) a string trio ( the Darian Trio) and Piano Trio ( l’Ensemble Alba ) will follow courses in  Prades, resulting in two concerts.

On Friday, November 15 , the Quatuor Zaïde and Darian Trio will perform at the Theatre des Aspres, Thuir at 20h30.

The next day,  at 18h , Ensemble Alba , Pacific Quartet Vienna , the Ligeti Quartet and the Quartetto Guadagnini will perform classical and romantic works in the repertoire of chamber music  at the  la salle du Foirail in Prades.
