Wednesdays of Arles is the department’s only cross-border fair celebrating the particular cultural heritage of the two Catalonias: north and south. With artists and performers from this creatively rich region, the weekly fete will take visitors on an artistic journey of the very best in Catalan spirit. Closing with the Cop i Foc festival aimed at promoting local producers’ know-how in regards to agriculture and livestock, this festival has something for everyone.
Above and beyond the classic fair set up, the team will :
- organise family concerts on the final Friday and Saturday nights, allowing participants of the Wednesday event to prolong the party right through to the weekend
- host the weekly 2 day fair, exhibiting the very best of Catalan culture
- promote the twinned township between Arles sur Tech and Cubelles, the home of many of the festival’s folkloric troupes
The 2016 programme is a new and improved recipe, built around the unique and ever-changing visual artistry of Sabine and Eric Pritchard. An original canvas (40cm x 60cm) is up for grabs to all festival-goers. Buy your tombola tickets from the online shop, the Office de Tourisme or the local shops of Arles sur Tech.
