School holidays in France are organised according to three “holiday zones”, A, B and C,  in order to manage the flow of French holidaymakers.

Our region comes under zone C (Montpellier)

ZONE A

Besançon, Bordeaux, Clermont-Ferrand, Dijon, Grenoble, Limoges, Lyon, Poitiers.

3rd September 2018 – Rentrée (return to school)
20th October – 5th November 2018 – Toussaint (Autumn half term)
22nd December 2018 to 7th January 2019 – Christmas holidays
16th February – 4th March 2019 – February half term term
13th April – 29th April 2019 – Easter holiday
Wednesday 29th May to Monday 3rd June – Pont de l’Ascension – LONG WEEKEND 
6th July 2019 – Start of summer holiday

ZONE B

Aix-Marseille, Amiens, Caen, Lille, Nancy-Metz, Nantes, Nice, Orléans-Tours, Reims, Rennes, Rouen, Strasbourg
