Glorious concerts by professional musicians, from September 24th to October 23rd in the 10 towns and villages that make up the Communauté de Commune du Vallespir.
Saturday 24th September, 20h in the Chapelle St Paul REYNES,
An evening of Baroque music by Vivaldi, Handel and Bach, together with the Stabat Mater by Pergolese.
Featuring the Quatuor Arkadas, comprising Frédéric Descargues and Jaume Francesh, violins, Antoine Dautry, viola, Edgar Casellas, cello
and Elisabeth Picard harpsichord.
Soloists: Soprano: Aurélie Loilier, Mezzo soprano Caroline Champy-Tursun
Sunday 25th September, 17h30 in the Eglise St Louis Roi at LE PERTHUS,
Ensemble“Capcadira” – consisting of 5 women singers passionate about performing traditional Catalan songs in a concert polyphonique.
Friday 30th September, 20h in the Salle Communale MAUREILLAS
“Le Mystère d’un homme”. An evening dedicated to discovering more about the composer Georges Bizet, best known for his opera ‘Carmen’. Featuring Aurélie Loilier soprano, Caroline Champy-Tursun mezzo soprano,
Zhi Wëi Shao tenor, accompanied by Emilie Benterfa on piano and narrated by Christian Papis.
Sunday 2nd October, 17h30 in the Eglise St.Pierre CERET.
A very special evening uniting the choir Accent Lyrique with the Brass Ensemble of Roussillon from the Conservatoire of Perpignan, the ensemble Cat’Brass Quintet and Maï Saïto on organ, under the direction of Christian Papis.
This promises to be a spectacular event never before experienced in the region.
