Radars de Feu Rouge (red light cameras) capture an image of a vehicle which has entered an intersection over the speed limit or despite a red light telling it to stop.

They also detect and record the speed of a vehicle as it passes through the traffic lights by using vehicle tracking radar or electronic detectors that are embedded in the road’s surface.

These detectors accurately measure the speed of the vehicle. If the speed of the vehicle exceeds the speed limit, a digital photograph is taken of the offending vehicle and you will receive 4 Points on your licence and a fine of 135 €uros!
