The first snow fell on the Cambre d’aze a couple of days ago at approx 2700 metres although can’t see it as it is swathed in cloud. Can’t see see the Canigou from where I am, bt it is likely that it fell there also.
If you are thinking of heading up into the mountains, the main road up from Prades may be closed sometime soon as there is a large chunk of new road waiting to be connected. The preparation work is in hand and I would think the whole road will be closed for them to join the” road straighteners” Keep an eye on the news.
