Goldfinch

While a lot of birds are declining in so many places, goldfinches, according to the January issue of BBC Wildlife, seem to be on the up – in Britain at least. They quote a “91 percent rise in the UK’s breeding population during 1995-2010”, which is wonderful news.

So it would be interesting to know how this delightful little bird is faring in the P-O. Sometimes large flocks can gather in the autumn but do any visit your garden? And if so do you think there are more than there used to be?

“The Warblers” would love to know. You can comment here or contact them via www.mediterraneanpyrenees.com
