On the road in France this summer? Try in particular to avoid Saturday 29th July (travelling from north to south) and 4th/12th/19th August, which are all ‘black days’ (circulation extrêmement difficile).
Thousands of holidaymakers could be affected by strikes this summer as Ryanair pilots announce a strike for July 20 and 24 in protest against working conditions. The strikes are due to last for 24 hours, starting at 1am.
As is the norm in airline scheduling there have been some small changes since our last Airport News. In this edition, I have included flights to Nimes, (though strictly speaking it is not in P-O) and Avignon as those who use Birmingham or Southampton might consider flying into Avignon and out of Perpignan, or vice versa.
Carrefour, the largest retailer is to join forces with Tesco, the largest in the UK, in a “strategic alliance” to cut costs and offer lower prices to customers. Increased buying power from the merger could mean lower prices on all own-brand goods.
