The boars are back in town

 

It may sound a little like a song I once knew but ‘the boars are back in town’

For the past few years, wild boar have got into the habit of taking a leisurely stroll around Amélie-les-Bains-Palalda looking for a snack or two.

A group of adult wild boar convene regularly near the bridge by the casino hoping to catch bread that is thrown to the ducks! It is assumed that they come down from the forests in the heights of Palalda. They are reported not to be agressive but visitors should nevertheless take care.
