Launch of European “e-Justice” site

Looking for a lawyer in the European Union? Want to know what happens during a mediation process in Sweden? Wondering about the Romanian land register or the functioning of the Portuguese judicial system? Visit on-line ‘e-justice”service has been launched in 22 languages, with more than 12,000 pages of information and links on laws and practices in all EU states.

You can get quick answers when you’re faced with the trials and tribulations of life (divorce, litigation, relocation, death), find a lawyer in another country or ask about how to avoid costly legal proceedings, find about the conditions for granting legal aid etc.
In the future, the site will feature information sheets on the rights of defendants and victims for each State, in all the different languages.
