The Lions Club (who sponsor Enfants & Santé, a charity raising money for research into childhood diseases such as leukaemia) organised two events over the holiday weekend of Saturday 22nd to Monday 24th May.

The easy one was an Antiques Fair and Art exhibition spread over three days; the difficult one was a Marathon or 10 kilometre run spread over… as little time as possible!!!!!

Cancer Support France (whose local branch is associated with Enfants & Santé) had three runners in the 10 K run, and one in the marathon, as well as a stand at the Antiques Fair.

Paul, Tim (10 K runners) and John (Marathon Man) came over specially from England to give us much needed publicity by sporting a CSF T-shirt for the event. And Richard (10 K) from Eus raised an amazing 114€ in sponsorship! We received another 50€ in donations, which, with all the runners satisfied with their times ( Tim beat his personal best) made for a very satisfactory day all round!

The object was not to raise money, but to raise awareness of CSF, which it certainly did.
