This mountain walk follows the route of the Tet river as it flows down the glaciated valley of the Coma de la Grava.
Circular walk up the hills with interesting visits to old shelters for the “bergers” who looked after their animals.
The well marked route to the tower from the village of Tautavel is an A/R of 3 hours, using the same route up and down. This 4 hour, 8 km walk, with approximately 450 metres of ascent offers an alternative for a day when you would like a bit longer walk and have more time.
A circular walk with good paths, some moderate ascent/descent along the coast and short portions of road. Walking boots recommended. Do not walk this route after heavy rain as there are several water courses to cross.
We start at Lac de Bouillouses at hotel le Bones Hores (GPS 42.56012N 1.99653E) after a beautiful drive up the valley on the D60 from Mont Louis.

A delightful and very interesting circuit of 3hrs, with 460metres of ascent. Most of the route is in forest and offers good protection from a warm autumn sun.

A delightful circuit of 10.5 kilometres which takes about 3hrs 45mins and includes 250 metres of ascent. The official tourist guide book says it takes 2 hours 40 mins – unfortunately we are past the age of fell running!
