We love a good story of local success and MassBeat certainly fits the bill! Seven local lads with a passion for music have held on to their dreams, and their friendship, to finally release their first album.

Although MassBeat was formed in 2022, the members met long before, while studying music at the Conservatoire de PerpignanPerpignan. They each took part in various projects, both music-related and otherwise, until eventually they decided to get together, without ever suspecting just what would happen next.

From those humble beginnings in a garage of Rivesaltes, MassBeat, or rather Quentin Rabazzani (guitar/vocals), Simon Beraha (sound engineer), Lucas Ferrer (sax), Alex Huyghe (bass), Alex Gruet (keyboard), Paul Barriere (percussion) and Sébastien Bechara MBE (trumpet) have gone from strength to strength.

Well-known and loved in venues across Catalonia, these talented musicians decided to take the leap and go professional. Their passion and commitment, as well as their great camaraderie, are evident in both the music they produce and their presence on stage.

The self-titled debut album offers 10 tracks, each bursting with the energy, emotion and exuberance that the band have become known for. Is it disco? Is it funk? Is it pop? It’s all that and so much more!!

Released on 1st April, far from foolish, you can grab a super special, limited edition vinyl or listen through all the usual streaming platforms.
