Hello Everyone

Here in the Pyrénées Orientale we have our very own get-together.  It’s basically a lunch preceded by a short meeting.  

It’s a chance to meet up with people who are all involved with CSF in one way or another, directly or indirectly, and who use this occasion as a good excuse to come and have a chat and at the same time get acquainted with all things national and local under the wonderful auspices of Cancer Support France.

We call it an Open Meeting because we keep it very informal and everyone is welcome – members and supporters, their partners and friends.

To those of you who have been before, we thank you for your support and we look forward to seeing you again the year.  To those of you who have not yet felt tempted I say please, do come and join us.

Phil Mercer, our new President, will say a few words, followed by Penny who will talk about CSF National and the Helpline.  Maggie Longworth will then update us on what’s been happening since January and on forthcoming events for this year.

We will then hear from our guest speakers.  We have great pleasure in welcoming Alain and Monique Perrault who have worked for a long time for La Ligue contre le cancer.  This is the 100th year that La Ligue has been in existence.  Monique and Alain will talk about its history, what La Ligue does and about the research they carry out.

For the past two years, we have had our meeting at the Hotel Le Mas des Arcades in Perpignan and I’m pleased to say we are there again this year.  It’s situated in the Porte d’Espagne area, just opposite Darty, on the other side of the roundabout.

We start arriving around 9.45 when coffee and juice will be available.  At 10.15 we sit down for our meeting.  Lunch will be around 12.15.

The cost of this three-course meal, (BELOW) which includes a glass of wine, is €22.

If you decide you would like to join us for our Open Meeting, just let me know how many you will be and whether you would prefer a vegetarian main course for lunch.  You can pay by cheque or cash on the day.  Please make your cheque payable to La Table du Mas.
