School holidays in France are organised according to three “holiday zones”, A, B and C, in order to manage the flow of French holidaymakers.
Our region comes under zone C (Montpellier)
ZONE A
Besançon, Bordeaux, Clermont-Ferrand, Dijon, Grenoble, Limoges, Lyon, Poitiers.
1st September 2025 – Rentrée (return to school)
18th October – 3rd November 2025 – Toussaint (Autumn half term)
20th December 2025 to 5th January 2026 – Christmas holidays
7th – 23rd February 2026– February half term term
4th – 20th April 2026 – Easter holiday
4th July 2026 – Start of summer holiday
ZONE B
Aix-Marseille, Amiens, Caen, Lille, Nancy-Metz, Nantes, Nice, Orléans-Tours, Reims, Rennes, Rouen, Strasbourg
1st September 2025 – Rentrée (return to school)
