Adapted by TF1 from a Spanish series ‘Monteperdido‘, all 6 of the 52 minute episodes of ‘Rivière Perdue‘ are filmed in the Vallespir between Arles-sur-Tech, Amélie-les-Bains, Céret, Prats-de-Mollo, and Le Boulou.
With many extras recruited from the Vallespir and Haut-Vallespir, and a crew of over 50, not counting the actors, you may well trip over a shoot or two if you’re around and about in the Vallespir from now until mid September.
THE STORY
On a winding road in the Pyrenees, an apparently tragic and spectacular car accident turns out to be a miracle, with the reappearance of Anna, a teenager who disappeared 5 years ago.
Captain Alix Stern (Barbara Cabrita) and Commissaire Balthus (Jean-Michel Tinivelli) are deployed alongside Victor Ferrer (Nicolas Gob), head of the local gendarmerie, in a race against time. They must find the whereabouts of Lucie, a young girl who was abducted at the same time as Anna and who has not reappeared…
