Thousands of holidaymakers could be affected by strikes as Ryanair’s Irish pilots announce two more 24-hour strikes, planned for July 20 and July 24, at 1am after failing to reach agreement on the terms of reference for setting up a working group to discuss and resolve their issues.

Last week’s strike forced the cancellation of 30 flights but a Ryanair spokesperson confirmed: “All 262 of our flights to and from Irish airports operated normally thanks to the great work of our pilots and our cabin crews. “There was no customer disruption other than the 30 flights which were cancelled the day previously and all the customers switched flights or selected refunds.”

Flights to Spain are not affected.
