| Saturday 16th Prats de Mollo | Retirada Commemoration. A full day of events starting at 7.45am with the signing and inauguration of the Livre d’Honneur at the Mairie. At 8am, a group walk (2h30) leaves from the Place de Conflent – pre-registration necessary at the Mairie. At 11am, wreath laying at the Retirada monument followed by the unveiling of the commemorative plaque at Chapelle Sainte Marguerite. At 1.45pm, wreath laying at the monument to Francesc Macià, before a 3pm ceremony at the tombs of Spanish Republicans in the cemetery. At 4pm in the Place Josep de la Trinxeria, the Maire and the President of la Generalitat de Catalunya will make speeches and the day will close at the cinema at 6pm with a film screening of “Los niños d’Ivry, un épisode méconnu de la guerre d’Espagne”. |
